The emerging couple was spotted walking hand in hand during a leisurely stroll in Joshua Tree, California, on Wednesday, December . Both opted for comfortable attire, with Nyong’o, 40, donning yellow sweatpants and a white and green striped long-sleeve shirt featuring the message, “It’s Okay to Cry.”
Jackson, the 45-year-old Dawson’s Creek star, sported a gray beanie, a white crewneck, and black sweatpants. The couple seemed to be thoroughly enjoying each other’s company, exchanging smiles as they walked side by side. Representatives for Jackson and Nyong’o did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Before entering into a relationship with Nyong’o, Jackson was romantically involved with actress Jodie Turner-Smith. Their relationship began in 2018 after meeting at a party, and they officially tied the knot the following year. Welcoming their daughter, Juno Rose Diana, in April 2020, the couple spent five years together before Turner-Smith filed for divorce on Oct. 2.
Nyong’o, too, recently went through a breakup. On Oct. 19, she announced the end of her relationship with Selema Masekela in a heartfelt Instagram post, expressing the pain of a love shattered by deception.
