Ghana’s Afronita and Abigail emerge 3rd at 2024 Britain’s Got Talent

Afronita and Abigail, a dynamic dance duo from Ghana, clinched third place in the fiercely contested finale of the 2024 Britain’s Got Talent competition, held in London on Sunday, June 2nd.

Their captivating choreography and amazing African story, wowed the world throughout the competition, raising high the flag of Ghana and Africa on the global platform.

In the climactic showdown on June 2nd, their vibrant performance adorned in the colors of Ghana propelled them into the top three out of ten finalists.

Securing third place stands as a notable achievement for Africans on such a prestigious international platform.

Afronita, aged 20, and Abigail, aged 7, garnered immense support from Ghanaians, both domestically and internationally, with throngs of supporters gathering at the event venue to cheer them on.

Among the ten finalists were a choir, a magician, and a Japanese skipping group.

The coveted first prize went to Sydnie Christmas, followed by Jack Rhodes in second place, with Afronita and Abigail claiming third.

The winner of the 17th edition of BGT earns a £250,000 cash prize and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.

During the live broadcast, the public had the chance to vote for their favorites, encouraging viewers at home to participate in the outcome.
